This morning my alarm went off, and I turned it off. And I stayed in bed and went back to sleep; multiple times, I woke up and thought about what I “should” be doing. I could have been writing. Podcast clips from the hustle crowd made me feel like I was wasting precious time. But it was the last Sunday of summer break. Everyone else was sleeping. It was cloudy and possibly raining. Staying in bed a little longer wasn’t going to hurt anything or anyone. When I finally got out of bed, I thought about the stories I was allowing to interrupt my morning rest. There will come a time, soon enough, when the busyness of life will take away the opportunity to stay in bed a little longer. There’s a time to hustle. But sometimes, you should just stay in bed a little longer and steal a little more rest. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC |

One of the benefits of being a business owner is flexibility. For a long time, I’ve been resistant to being overly disciplined in my day-to-day structure. I’ve always appreciated the flexibility to call an audible in the middle of the day to work from home or spend a little more time with the boys if there was nothing on my calendar.
