Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, we move into the Christmas season of shopping–although many stores started their Black Friday and holiday sales well before Thanksgiving, and it’s important to remember that not only should our spending for our Selves align with our authentic lives, but so should the spending on others. This aligned spending includes dollar amounts, the things we buy, and who we buy for. In no way am I trying to be a Scrooge and tell you not to spend on your loved ones and friends, but try to do so in a way that expresses the energy of your Authentic Life. Aligned spending will help alleviate the stress of holiday spending because aligned spending feels different from misaligned spending. Aligned spending will help you avoid overspending and overcommitting, while misaligned spending tends to get out of control. Most importantly, aligned spending helps you maintain alignment of spirit, mind, body, and money and keeps you moving in the flow of your Authentic Life from before the holiday season. So spend, and spend well. Just make sure it’s as aligned as possible with your Authentic Life. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC |
I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.

So on this day of giving thanks, I want to thank you for being with me on my Pursuit of my Authentic Life, which includes these Daily Notes....
“We should try by all means to be as grateful as possible. For gratitude is a good thing for ourselves, in a sense in which justice, that is commonly supposed to concern other persons, is not; gratitude returns in large measure unto itself. There is not a man who, when he has benefited his neighbour, has not benefited himself, — I do not mean for the reason that he whom you have aided will desire to aid you, or that he whom you have defended will desire to protect you, or that an example of...
I’ve had too many synchronicities in the last week not to remind you to pay attention to them, and other signs, in your life. A prime example of the most recent synchronicity is Oliver Burkeman. Last week, someone, I can’t remember who, asked me if I had read Burkeman’s most recent book, Meditation for Mortals. I hadn’t, and until then, I hadn’t heard of the book, although I was familiar with Burkeman’s Four Thousand Weeks. Naturally, I looked up the books, read a little more about Burkeman,...
