I hope you had a great weekend! Last week, I shared a photo of a whiteboard, which is part of a family exercise we've started to help introduce the boys to living in alignment with their values. This weekend, we worked on vision boards--naturally, the oldest two boys are dragging their feet, but Silas joined in. I'm excited to see what the other two put on their boards and then to review them at the end of the year, so they can see how many of their goals come true after putting them on their boards. Ok, let's get to this week's Notes... 📝 this week's Daily Notes1.12.26 #1092 the greatness in others 1.13.26 #1093 spread love 1.14.26 #1094 your heart knows 1.15.26 #1095 the greatest force 1.16.26 #1096 trusting your intuition 1.17.26 #1097 make your absence felt 1.18.26 #1098 do that thing 📺 AlignedLife PodcastIn this episode, I sit down with Isik Tlabar to explore one of the most powerful tools we all have access to but rarely learn how to use: our intuition. Isik shares the remarkable story of how she discovered her calling. After leaving architecture, she found herself in Turkey with a lost passport, desperate to return to London. Through a series of synchronistic events—from finding the right cab driver who got her a passport in an hour to landing at a Tony Robbins meetup where she met someone who introduced her to intuitive training—the universe literally guided her exactly where she needed to be. We dive into what intuition actually is and how it differs from our analytical mind. While our mind processes information we already know and often comes from fear, intuition is this instant knowing that connects us to something larger. Isik explains that intuition shows up differently for everyone—some people see visions, others hear guidance, some feel things in their body, and others just have this deep knowing. The key is learning your unique intuitive language. We get practical about how to strengthen your intuitive muscle. Isik emphasizes the importance of getting into a neutral, relaxed state—whether through meditation, movement, time in nature, or whatever puts you in flow. Our phone habits and constant mental chatter often drown out our intuitive signals, which is why creating space and silence is crucial. I can personally vouch for Isik's work. When I had a session with her, she tuned into things I hadn't shared—thoughts I'd been having that we'd never discussed. It was one of those experiences that made me realize this stuff is real. Whether you're a total believer or still figuring out where you stand, this conversation offers practical wisdom on how to start listening to that inner guidance we all have. You say family matters most, but you’re financing a lifestyle that requires constant work and keeps you perpetually unavailable. You say health is a priority, but it’s consistently the first thing sacrificed when life gets full. You claim to value presence, yet most of your spending goes toward distractions, numbing, or signaling status to people who don’t actually matter to you. That’s not a budgeting problem. That’s an energy problem." 🦅 Omens See you next week (or tomorrow) and keep pursuing, JC |
I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.
What aren’t you doing that you wish you were? Why aren’t you doing it? Are there external forces preventing you, or are you keeping your Self from doing it? If you feel external forces are preventing you, take an honest look at whether that’s true or if it’s an excuse. Many times, external forces exist; however, they aren’t really the reason we don’t pursue what we really want. If you are feeling called to do something, you should do it–no matter what appears to be standing in your way. There...

I often write and talk about intuition. I’ve always had a connection to my intuition, even if I was too young to understand why I felt so confident about a decision I was making. Even as a high schooler (probably earlier, but I don’t really remember) I knew when something felt right, but I didn’t know that the internal feeling was a GPS from a Higher Power. Because it’s always been so natural for me to “follow my gut”, I have always assumed that it was easy for everyone to listen to their...
