the power of visualization

"Ordinary people believe only in the possible. Extraordinary people visualize not what is possible or probable, but rather what is impossible. And by visualizing the impossible, they begin to see it as possible."
- Cherie Carter-Scott

Thinking that you want something, writing it down, and even speaking it are all great steps towards bringing it into existence.

But, thinking, writing, and speaking can all be done without actually believing–”talk is cheap”.

Visualizing what you want is what really sets things into motion.

When you begin to visualize the version of your Self you are pursuing your brain begins to believe that it is possible. As you continue to visualize, you begin to embody that version of your Self bringing it even closer to you.

Now, don’t sit around visualizing your authentic life and think that it’s just going to show up—at the end of the day, you have to take action to move in the direction of your visualization. You can’t visualize your way to your authentic life, but visualization will enhance actions.

When you share your vision of your authentic life with others, don't be surprised if they doubt you or tell you it's impossible. As Carter-Scott explains, the ordinary can only believe in what is already known to be possible. Your authentic life will seem impossible because it has yet to exist in the world--they cannot believe in it because they cannot see beyond what's already been done.

Hold onto your vision.

You are not ordinary---you've crossed over into extraordinary because you've found the ability to visualize what seems impossible. Eventually, your vision will become not only possible, but your reality.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC

“If you think about it, it’s precisely because people are different from others that they’re able to create their own independent selves. Take me as an example. It’s precisely my ability to detect some aspects of a scene that other people can’t, to feel differently than others and choose words that differ from theirs, that’s allowed me to write stories that are mine alone. And because of this we have the extraordinary situation in which quite a few people read what I’ve written. So the fact...

“Abundance isn’t something we acquire. It’s something we tune in to.” - Wayne Dyer Abundance surrounds you. Once you see it, or tune in to it, it will be hard to miss and only attract more to you. Don’t let others keep you tuning in to scarcity—it’s where most people live, but you don’t have to. You have the freedom to choose abundance over scarcity. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC

When was the last time you celebrated a “win”? Even something as little as waking up each morning a little earlier? It’s easy to be so focused on your goals, where you’re heading, and even trying to find the meaning in why things are unfolding in the way they are, that you miss celebrating the wins when they come. Celebrating your wins doesn’t have to be a major event—you don’t need to take to social media (but you can) or treat your Self to a nice little reward (but you can). It can be as...
