Most people will not be able to see what you see when it comes to your Authentic Life. When you think about it, that should make sense. Your Authentic Life is uniquely yours, so how could someone else see it fully—especially if it is outside the box of what society has said you’re supposed to do? They can’t. So when you share your vision, don’t be surprised if others don’t get it and even try to talk you out off pursuing it. I’ve pursued a variety of paths that didn’t make sense to others, but I knew it was the path I was supposed to go down. Some of those paths ended with me turning back around, but they were still important because they gave me the experience, lessons, and connections that would help me in future Pursuits. If I had listened to others, including people very close to me, I wouldn't be where I am today. I’m doing this once again. In just the last two weeks, a vision was planted; I took action, and now I’m pursuing a role that doesn’t exist, as I will do it in a new niche. I’ve been getting feedback from people on how I should explain the work that I do and the title I should use to help the niche- athletes- understand the role I will fill. I’ve received some great advice, not all of which I necessarily agree with because of the vision I have that others don’t, and I’m using that advice to figure out how to communicate what I do, not change what I will do. No one is going to change the path I’m pursuing now, but they can help me figure out how to communicate to the world how I uniquely help athletes and allow the athletes who would value working with me to understand this new, unique, and authentic role. Trust your vision. Only you can know what your Authentic Life is meant to look like—don’t let others keep you from living it. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC |
I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.
“How you gonna win when you ain’t right within?” -Lauryn Hill It’s fitting that this quote popped into my sphere of consciousness today. After a couple of client meetings and some planning, I spent most of the afternoon finishing the first issue of a new project called 12:24; this creative work has led me to change the format of The Weekly Notes. Long story short, and to keep this from being too promotional of the new newsletter, 12:24 is where I’ll be writing to help athletes improve their...

A minor change to The Weekly Note starts this week. I started the Weekly Note to deliver the week's Daily Notes to those who want them but don't want a daily email. We get too many emails as it is, so I was happy to send them all in one. Not wanting to make the Weekly Note just about me, I decided to curate some additional content to make the email more valuable, and that is where the change is coming. For the foreseeable future, the Weekly Note will return to its original purpose —...
