Let’s dive into your most powerful tool: Your mind. It’s your asset or your enemy. Your greatest ally—or your loudest limiter. And science backs it up: Neuroscience. Psychology. Even quantum theory. All say what spiritual teachers have said for ages: Your thoughts create your life. Oprah didn’t audition for The Color Purple with hope— she knew. She felt it, saw it, surrendered to it. And days later, Spielberg called. Bob Proctor said: “Thoughts are things.” And Sara Blakely lived it. She saw a better, more comfortable way to dress for work. She didn’t have experience. She didn’t have funding. But she did have vision. After countless pitches, one company said yes. Oprah came around and the vision was complete.. Neville Goddard reminded us: “You are already that which you want to be.” But only if you believe it. Jim Carrey carried a check for $10 million in his wallet—and in his consciousness. Years later, Hollywood caught up. But here’s the other side— The part we miss. Your mind doesn’t just build dreams. It can build limitations too. “I’m not good enough.” “I can’t do that.” Keep repeating those, and the world will reflect them back. And let’s be real— It’s not just you shaping your thoughts. It’s ads. Algorithms. Influencers. Every force around you is trying to write your script for you. Because a mind that’s controlled is a mind that conforms. That’s why this matters. So reclaim your mind. With awareness. With meditation. With vision. Like Questlove in 2020— He turned inward, and his life turned upward. Because… “Your mind is a garden. Tend it, or the weeds will take over.” And when you tend it, when you plant purpose, when you believe before you see— You don’t just create a better life. You create a better world. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC |
I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.
“Every moment is a new beginning.” - Elie Wiesel If there are things in your life that you are not aligned with your authentic Self, you have the ability to change them. As Wiesel shares with us, every moment is an opportunity to change the direction of your Pursuit. You can choose to use these new beginnings as an opportunity to move closer to your authentic life. Or, you can choose to use these new beginnings as an opportunity to keep heading down the same path you’re on and living a life...
I hope your summer is off to a great start. It's been busy for us, but this past week we got a short reprieve as Leo's soccer season ended last week and Roman's summer basketball is in between high school ball and the return of AAU. I used the extra time to finish writing my portion of a collaborative book from The AGC™ (the community for financial advisors I co-founded), which included not only my own chapter but also writing a narrative voice to connect the various sections of the book....
“The making of art is not a competitive act. Our work is representative of the self.” -Rick Rubin I know Rick is writing about “art” but this is true of everything you do, and I could argue that everything you do has the opportunity to be a creative act. When you approach anything in life in a way that is true to your Self, you are doing something in a way that no one else can do–a representation of your Self. In this representation of your Self lies your strength, advantage, and most...
