I hope your summer is off to a great start. It's been busy for us, but this past week we got a short reprieve as Leo's soccer season ended last week and Roman's summer basketball is in between high school ball and the return of AAU.

I used the extra time to finish writing my portion of a collaborative book from The AGC™ (the community for financial advisors I co-founded), which included not only my own chapter but also writing a narrative voice to connect the various sections of the book. This will be our second book as a community, published with Harriman House, and I can't wait to see the final product.

Since the last Weekly Note I also had an incredibly cool experience with a client of mine who has been working on navigating out of the corporate world and starting his own business to be more aligned with his authentic Self--you can read about it in my latest post to the AlignedLife Substack called Manifesting Through Life and Financial Planning.

Finally, this past week I dropped a new episode of The AlignedLife Podcast with a great conversation with Alex Hutchinson, the author of Endure and The Explorer's Gene.

I can't get enough of Rick's interviews.

The beginning of this conversation, where he explains how we all see the world from different perspectives, is great, and I love how he says he "wants to hear more" when someone has a different view. I feel like most people who respond with that's what they say are faking it, but when it comes from Rick, it feels authentic.

Creativity has been on my mind a lot lately, and I feel like I'm getting ready for another creative run, so I'm not surprised this interview popped up in my feed.

In my experience, many of us eventually come to this conclusion, but it often comes in the form of pain and immense heartbreak. Often we have to lose someone, or something unexpectedly, to cherish and appreciate the gift of life. To consider these questions allowed me to truly see my father in every moment. Some were more difficult than others, but the thing I would have regretted most was not showing him love and gratitude for everything he’s given me."

My friend Michael has a great Substack called The Art of Wandering--I highly recommend checking it out. He's a fellow financial advisor who is focused on helping people find the confidence (and financial plan) to wander and find their authentic life (my word, not his); it's no surprise we get along really well.
