love is the answer

Love.

Love is the answer.

We enter this world in a natural state of love – it’s all we know how to do; just watch a group of young kids play. It doesn’t matter what the other kids look like, what belief system their family has, where they came from, or what sports team their parents root for. None of that matters because they don’t see any differences–they just see another human being because they are operating from a place of love.

Read any book on consciousness, and love is one of the highest levels that few people reach–it is the goal.

Read any religious scriptures, and the fundamental beliefs come back to loving others (I’ll argue it was man who took the words of these scriptures and manipulated them to exclude others from being loved).

Love is the answer.

And you can move your Self closer towards living from a state of love; this doesn’t mean you have to like everyone and agree with everything they might say, but you still love them.

It seems that we live in a time where we are encouraged to pick sides and be divided–in almost all things:

Politics
Religion
Sports
Television shows (team character A vs. team character B)
This list might be infinite

Hate is taught.

Hate is encouraged.

Hate is fueled.

It’s not a natural state, yet it seems to be gaining traction these days.

Despite what seems to be a rise in hate today, I still believe that there are more good people than bad, that there are more people who love than hate, and that we are born into this world as kind, loving beings.

And we can all get back to that state of love.

Yes, there are structural things that need to change, but the truth is those things will never be fixed without love, and these changes can be made while holding space for love.

So, on a heavy day like today, when emotions are high, misleading information is in abundance, and the world will encourage you to pick a side, remember that love is also a choice.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

“As soon as we become aware of money, we develop beliefs about it, beliefs we cling to, sometimes for the rest of our lives, often at the cost of our souls.”-George Kinder It might seem extreme to say that your beliefs about money, especially those that you developed without being aware of, can cost you your soul, but if you think about it, it’s true.If your beliefs about money prevent you from becoming the person you were created to be by keeping you in relationships, careers, and living a...

Routines are great, but sometimes they need to be adjusted. Make sure you stay adaptable to the adjustments you might need to make within your daily routines An example of this is writing my Daily Note. It has become clear to me that shifts I’ve made in my morning routine require me to adjust when I write my Daily Note (you’ll notice this is hitting your inbox in the evening instead of the morning). If I want the Daily Note to continue being something that is delivered in the morning, I need...

Inauthenticity. A cause of burnout that no one talks about is inauthenticity. This inauthenticity is not always by choice, and often, it’s not even something the individual is aware of. Waking up every day and putting on the act of being someone you aren’t or don’t want to be is exhausting. This “act” often comes in the form of our professional Self, however, there are many suffering from inauthenticity in relationships, friendships, and other areas of life. Life is exhausting enough without...
