embrace delusion

Not too long, I wrote about your Authentic Life requiring you to be irrational.

Another word that has come up in the last few weeks, and that I keep thinking about, is delusion. I consider irrational and delusional to be synonyms, but I really think delusional is one more step further away from “normal” than irrational. I also think delusion requires a level of conviction and belief that doesn’t show up in irrational.

Maybe belief is what takes something from irrational to delusional.

I’ve shifted my mindset from maintaining an irrational vision to a delusional vision for my Authentic Life.

Here’s a little look into my delusions—and they are only delusions because I know they are all possible and will occur in the way they are supposed to—remember the “why not me?” mantra:

  • Hosting retreats twice a year beginning ‘27 for new client relationships at Santiago.
  • Having the “Authentic Life” become a concept that is known across the world—when someone hears it they know exactly what it is—and is what people strive for.
  • Seeing PRST grow into the creative collective I’ve said it is: a podcast network, a production company, a book publisher, an event company, and a lifestyle clothing brand, with all content being centered around the Authentic Life.
  • Seeing PRST grow into a brand that means so much to people that they will tattoo the logo and “keep pursuing” on their bodies.
  • Building an ecosystem for the Authentic Life: Santiago, my content, The AlignedLife Community, PRST, and more, not only to amplify my impact, but to provide opportunities for my family to leverage their unique gifts and talents together, assuming that aligns with their Authentic Life.
  • See the AlignedLife podcast become a top podcast while focusing on voices that aren’t heard on every other top podcast.
  • Get into modeling and collab with my favorite brands in a creative director role.
  • Publish multiple books through Publishing PRST.
  • Change the way people view money and interact with it as they navigate their Authentic Lives.
  • Purchase a house in Sedona for retreats.
  • Become a sought-after speaker.
  • Be on the cover of Men’s Health in my mid-50s to early 60s for the Authentic Life and the alignment of spirit, mind, body, and money.
  • Have my J.Cole moment: Host a sold-out event in the Fishers Event Center that combines multiple forms of art and ends with a talk.

That’s just a glimpse at the delusional visions in my heart.

I want to encourage you to write out your delusional visions. But only the ones that you believe will happen—the ones that you honestly ask your Self, “Why not me?”

Also, pay attention to how often you see delusion around you in your life and how many of the people you admire, look up to, or want to emulate are delusional.

Embrace your delusions.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC

I hope you had a great week! Earlier this summer, I hosted a few talks at my house for Roman, Leo, and their teammates about mindset and mindfulness. The feedback from the first three talks in the Mindful Mondays series was so positive that it's kept me thinking about how to keep the momentum going. Now, I know the Mindful Mondays were created for teenagers, which, to the best of my knowledge, is not the audience of the Weekly Note, but I still wanted to share the latest addition to the...
