Yesterday, a friend sent me a text with a screenshot of an email he sent his Self a year ago. The email had a list of goals and questions he contemplated at the time that supported those goals. Each of his goals came true over the last year–none were numbers-focused; they were quality-of-life-focused. He and I had enough conversations over the year that I knew he wasn’t looking at these goals daily. They were set, his focus was on the direction in which he would find his new lifestyle, and then he just lived his life. I don’t know for sure what would have happened if he hadn’t written that email, but I’m pretty confident it played an important part in the success of his transformation. And this isn’t the first time I’ve seen what “setting and forgetting” can do for goals. A few years ago, my wife was cleaning our bedroom and found a note card that had fallen behind our dresser. On this note card was a list of goals she had for her business for the previous year–by the time she found the notecard, it had been a year and a half. As she read her goals to me, she shared which of them she achieved or exceeded. All of them. She had forgotten about the notecard and didn’t look at it once during the year it was written for, and every goal for his business was achieved or exceeded. If you want to accomplish something and are serious about it, write it down. There’s something magical about the process, and while it is beneficial to continue looking at your goals throughout the year, you don’t necessarily have to. This is why an important part of the AlignedLife+ process includes a variety of written exercises. Not only does AL+ rely on the magic of the written exercises, but it also takes things to the next level by having the goals and vision for the authentic life recited back to the individual. Writing down your goals starts the magic. Hearing your goals recited back triggers something at a higher level that increases the magic. Start moving towards your authentic life by writing an email to your Self and setting it to send a year from today---don't take my word for the magic; see for your Self in twelve months. See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC |

"I have often wondered how it is that every man loves himself more than all the rest of men, but yet sets less value on his own opinion of himself than on the opinion of others." - Marcus Aurelius Just a friendly reminder that true happiness begins within your Self. I’ve found that the best way to love and have a high opinion of your Self, as Marcus Aurelius discusses, is to be the truest, most authentic version of your Self. When you live as the version of your Self you were created to be...

I refuse to be a contributor to the spread of negativity in the world—I’ll let others tell you what’s wrong and I’ll focus on helping you see the abundance in your life and...
“You will attract everything that you require. If it's money you need... you'll attract it. If it's people you need... you'll attract it. If it's a certain book you need... you'll attract it.” -Bob Proctor Yesterday, I shared a new Omen that I wanted to share here; it has a quote and concept that complements Bob Proctor’s quote above. I thought I’d share it here because, as you’ll see, I’m going to be dropping off social media for the next month or so. Since I interact with some of you on...
