“Each of us is born with the freedom to choose the thoughts that will direct our lives. We choose the path we want to walk down. We have the power to choose what we wish to carry along the way. With that in mind, it would seem to make good sense to choose thoughts that will form positive attitudes and that stress our unlimited potential. Negative thoughts and attitudes weigh us down; they make our journey through life so much more difficult. Every thought we allow into our mind affects the thoughts, feelings, and actions we express. If we hold negative thoughts, our actions are going to be negative, and, in turn, negative results will be returned to us. However, positive thoughts return positive results and life becomes a happy, motivating adventure in which we see ourselves and all others in the true light of what we really are. We suddenly see that each of us is a wonderful, magical, mysterious expression of life. As long as our thoughts remain positive and are grounded in accomplishing the goal in front of us, the progress we make on the path of life will be steady and rewarding.”
- Sir John Templeton, Discovering The Laws of Life (Week 33, Law D)
I hope you choose to continue down the path of positivity, opportunity, and abundance---regardless of outcomes. I’ve said this before, but Templeton was writing about the importance of spirit, mind, body, and money a long time ago—it’s still a mystery to me why no one in finance references his work, his writing never turned up outside of my reading in finance, and that I happened to stumble upon his writings on the Laws of Life. I love reading his work because it gives me more confidence I'm on to something important and meaningful. JC |

You might have white-knuckled your savings while opportunity passed you by, or spent recklessly just to silence the anxiety for a moment. We all carry stories about money,...
Most financial professionals want to budget out the enjoyment in life. Skip the latte.Buy beater cars.Don’t buy luxury goods. While you should be aware of where you are allocating your money, being responsible with your finances does not mean that you cannot spend money, more money than might be recommended, on thing or experiences that are meaningful to you. Let me amend that…not just meaningful to you, but ALIGNED with your Authentic Life. There is no “right” answer for where you allocate...
“Withdraw into yourself, as far as you can. Associate with those who will make a better man of you. Welcome those whom you yourself can improve. The process is mutual; for men learn while they teach.” -Seneca If your circle of friends isn’t making you better, and you’re not making them better, then it is time to change your circle. We are often told that we’re the average of the five people we spend the most time with, but I don’t believe most people really believe it–or at least don’t act...
