I hope you're having a great Monday this Memorial Day! This week's Weekly Note is coming to you a day late because I chose to spend Sunday being a true Hoosier — watching and listening to the Indianapolis 500. We spent the day in and out of the pool, cooking out, working out, and sitting under the stars. If you are a longtime Weekly Note subscriber, you know that I have no problem sending the Note a day late or even missing a week. I know this is not what writers are supposed to do. But I don't like to always follow the "rules", which I hope encourages you to sometimes do what YOU want to do or what feels right to you, regardless of whether or not it's what you are supposed to do. Something New Is ComingI've been reluctant to share the new venture my wife and I have begun, but we're at a point where it makes sense to start sharing it gradually. This fall, we will be opening the "doors" to the AlignedLife Community. Community has always been on my roadmap, although I didn't know what it would look like. I didn't know whether I would create a formal online community like The AGC™, the community for financial advisors I co-founded, or if the community would just come together on its own — this was inspired by reading This Is Not A T-Shirt by Bobby Hundreds. A couple of months ago, my friend Tom Morgan wrote on his Substack about The Network of Networks in a piece titled "Three Ways To Change Your World. Right Now." and it told me now was the time. The Network of Networks was something my community would belong to, and I needed to move sooner rather than later to join the Network. The only obstacle standing in my way was that I knew I couldn't start a community on my own, which is why I haven't done so yet. I had the ideal partner, though. With my wife closing her store earlier this year and my longstanding desire to work with her, I asked her if she'd be interested in helping me start a community to support more people in living their Authentic Lives. She said yes, but I wasn't sure until later that day, she was texting me podcasts on community building, and she had already found a community to join for community builders. So we got to work. I'll share more in the coming weeks and will have a separate email for those interested in learning more and possibly joining the first 25 Founding Members in the fall. But for now, I wanted to share that soon, there will be a new option for those authenticists looking to continue or even start the Pursuit of their Authentic Lives with other authenticists. We're pouring a lot of our souls into making sure we create the right container, have the right content and activities, and attract aligned individuals. Ok, let's get to this week's Notes... 📝 this week's Daily Notes5.16.26 #1206 courage 5.17.26 #1207 energy matters 5.19.26 #1208 the signal for change 5.20.26 #1209 to become who you want to be 5.21.26 #1210 the world is your mirror 5.22.26 #1211 this is my Authentic Life 5.24.26 #1212 inner purpose 📺 The Five on AlignedLife: "The Constraint Is The Point"Every week on The Five, we find one headline and one deeper idea across all five pillars of aligned living — Spirit, Mind, Body, Money, and Creativity — and ask what they mean for the life you're actually trying to build. This week, one thread ran through every single pillar before we even went looking for it: friction. Deliberate, chosen friction.
Five pillars. Five Conversations. This is The Five. 📝 AlignedLife BlogMy Money Story (Part 2) "The script, “always bet on your Self,” might come across as arrogant, but it’s not. It's the recognition that my financial security and freedom are mine to steward. That no one else will protect them the way I will. That the deepest form of alignment is showing up fully for the life only I can live." 🦅 OmensThe Power of Now "I’ll leave you with a quote that I partially highlighted four years ago and added to it this morning as I read it. “So it is essential to bring more consciousness into your life in ordinary situations when everything is going relatively smoothly. In this way, you grow in presence power. It generates an energy field in you and around you of a high vibrational frequency. No unconsciousness, no negativity, no discord " Why Do I Keep Doing All Of This? "So whenever I have a moment of second-guessing or doubt, which does happen every once in a while, I quickly return to my Authentic Life and to the fact that I am only doing things I love and feel called to do." 📺 The Authentic Life On Other Shows and What I've Been ConsumingFrom time to time, I listen to a conversation, and all I can hear is other people talking about the Authentic Life. I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.
“Your life’s journey has an outer purpose and an inner purpose. The outer purpose is to arrive at your goal or destination, to accomplish what you set out to do, to achieve this or that, which, of course, implies future. But if your destination, or the steps you are going to take in the future, take up so much of your attention that they become more important to you than the step you are taking now, then you completely miss the journey’s inner purpose, which has nothing to do with where you...
I don’t do this often, but today’s Note is actually an Omen I posted last night. The Omens, which you can find on my website, are meant to be discovered on their own, are only distributed in my Weekly Note, and are more like the blogs I started with when I first started writing. They are meant to be observations and interests of mine. Last night, I wrote one to my Self but feel it might be meaningful to others. Every once in a while, I think to my Self, “Why do I keep doing all of this?” Why...
I’ve struggled to fully understand how the world is a reflection of my Self. I kind of understood it and believed it was true, but I was looking at the statement from the wrong perspective. I have always looked at it as the characteristics of the people I see, or the world I see, are supposed to be similar to or represent me. And while I do think individuals reflect aspects of our Selves that we like and even don’t like, this morning I developed a new understanding of this mirror phenomenon....
