All of the planning in the world will never bring you the “perfect” time to take a risk, change course, or try something new.

The fear of failure, being wrong, change, and countless other outcomes or emotions have kept and continue to keep people from taking action to move closer to their authentic Self and life.

I’ve been a financial advisor for over twenty years, lived for over forty-three years, and consulted with other financial advisors for almost ten years. I can promise you there will always be “one more thing” to wait for the timing of a change to be “perfect.”

I've witnessed it.
I've experienced it.

You can try to plan for every detail and every possible obstacle that might come your way, but in trying to prepare for perfection, you’ll find your Self staying in the same spot because perfection will never come.

At some point, you have to leap.

So, do some planning, but don’t overplan.

Listen to your intuition and incorporate it into your decision-making.

And do the damn thing.

The clearer you are on your authentic life, the easier it will become to trust your intuition and leap earlier.

As a final thought and consideration, if you find your Self continuing to be stuck, unable to leap, spend some time reflecting on why; it could be fear, “false evidence appearing real,” keeping you in place, or it could be a sign that the decision in front of you is not actually in alignment with your authentic life–only you will know.

At the end of the day, the authentic life waiting for you will require you to leap at some point—don’t wait for perfection to make that leap.
