show up for YOU

Show up every day for YOU.

Don’t confuse this permission to exhibit main character energy—thinking that you are the only person that matters in this world. That’s not what I’m encouraging.

By showing up each day for your Self, it doesn’t mean that other people in your life don’t matter. It means that your purpose, your priorities, your values, and what you do each day are aligned with your Authentic Life.

You wake up each day excited to be the best version of your Self that day—which may not always be the best version of your Self that has ever existed, but it’s the best version for that day.

You wake up each day excited to use your unique gifts and talents in a way that no one else can.

You wake up each day excited to do things that make you happy, elevate your energy, and allow you to serve and take care of others.

If you are able to show up every day like this, for your Self, then you will inevitably be taking good care of those who need you and being a positive impact on the strangers you come across.

Showing up every day for YOU, as I just described, will lead you to show up every day for everyone else as well.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

I know it goes against what feels natural, that we need to work harder, but sometimes the extra effort pushes it away. Surrender your attachment to the thing just out of your reach. When you release the attachment you have, it somehow frees up the space for you to finally receive it. I can’t tell you how it works. Give it a try. Worst-case scenario is you...

“Simplicity, patience, compassion. These three are your greatest treasures. Simple in actions and thoughts, you return to the source of being. Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are. Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.” -Lao Tzu See you tomorrow and keep pursuing, JC

I hope you're having a great weekend — Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I hope you had a great day and felt the love! Today I had breakfast made for me, went golfing with all three boys (it's the only way you'll find me on a course), and then we had to divide and conquer because youth sports never stop, and Roman had basketball practice and Silas had a game. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I can help the three pursue their Authentic Lives and learn important lessons and...
