don't hold back

How many times do you hold back from telling someone what you’re really excited about?

This morning I ran into an old CrossFit buddy at the coffee shop, and we got to talking about life, what we’re up to, and the opportunity to talk about my creative work naturally presented itself.

I told him about the writing I’m doing on my AlignedLife blog for my first book, looking at money as a form of energy. I shared the concept in my latest post, The Velocity of Money, how I’m meeting with Sarah McCrum tomorrow night and hosting her on my podcast later this summer to talk about her book Love Money Money Loves You, and dove deeper into how I think changing how people view money can drastically change many people’s quality of life.

It would have been easy not to share this because the idea of money as energy and my woo beliefs about how we can relate to money is not a concept that is easy for most to believe—that’s not what we’ve been taught or what most have experienced.

I’m sure you have an idea or a passion you don’t share because you're worried about how it will be received or what people will think of you.

I’m here to encourage you to share whatever it is.

Because experience has shown me that when I share what I’m excited about, almost every time the person I’m talking to gets sucked into the conversation and gets excited as well.

I’ve found more people are actually open to the idea that money is a currency of energy, that it flows to and through us, and that we have more control over that flow than we realize. I haven’t had a single person shut me down—in fact, they engage in the conversation and often share their own experiences that support my belief.

Now, I don’t know what they say about me afterward, but that’s not anything I worry about.

So, if there is something you’re excited about, share it with people when the opportunity presents itself. It cannot grow if you keep it to your Self, so share it with others and see what it becomes.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC

Who you choose to align your Authentic Life with is one of the most important decisions you will make, and it’s a decision most of us make way before we discover who we really are. Today, Ang and I celebrate twenty years of being married. As I’ve reflected over those years, and the two and a half years of dating before, I see yet another breadcrumb in my life—an important and big one. As with most things in life, so many things had to line up for Ang and I to meet—my choice to go to Franklin...

From the AlignedLife blog: Money was never meant to sit still. We’ve been taught to treat it like a scarce resource; that it is something you need to protect once you get it. But money is abundant. It flows like a current. A current that stops moving isn’t wealth. It’s a dam waiting to break or a pond going stagnant. There’s a term for this in economics: the velocity of money. It measures how quickly money moves through the economy—how many times a dollar exchanges hands in a given year. A...

Another short and sweet intro--I had planned to write a little update on some things I've been working on, like the AlignedLife Community, which is going to be pushing the Founding Member sign-up to January instead of next month. Ang and I spent too much time living this summer and not enough time setting up Circle, so instead of rushing the opening, we decided to start in the new year. More to come, like dates for a few information sessions we're going to hold and insight into what is...
