do you dream?

I’m not talking about when you sleep.

I’m talking about the vision you have for your life.

Do you dream about possibilities that seem impossible?

Do you dream about the life you want to live?

Do you dream about doing something you’ve been told you can’t do?

Do you allow your Self to dream?

Or do you just stick with the status quo and what you’ve been told?

Give your Self permission to dream. Dreaming doesn’t mean you have to pursue, but I’m willing to bet the more you dream, the more curious you will become, and the more you will experiment.

This will bring you closer to your Authentic Life.

But you’ll never make that progress if you don’t let your Self dream of what is possible and what you want.

And I know someone is thinking about all of the reasons why their dreams aren’t possible—don’t worry about obstacles while you dream. Once you determine which dreams you want to pursue, you can bring them to reality and address the obstacles that stand in the way.

My experience has been that obstacles become much easier to overcome when you are pursuing dreams that lead you to your Authentic Life.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

JC

Yesterday, I saw a comment somewhere that people are more polite and thankful to their GPTs than they are to other people. I didn’t fact-check it, but I can see there being some truth to this. Even if it’s not true, the fact that it is believable is sad. This morning, I finally listened to a voice note from a college friend I had been sitting on until I could be present and not distracted. He shared with me that he was starting a practice of sending someone a voice note each week to let them...

I’ve never been to an AA meeting, but on various podcasts, I’ve heard plenty about the 12 Steps that have been so successful in helping people struggling with addiction find their way to sobriety. I’ve noticed how many of these steps are applicable outside of fighting an addiction. For the last week, anytime I’ve been in the car with Roman, I’ve had George Mumford’s Unlocked playing on Spotify; I’m determined to help the boys master their minds and begin to see the benefits of meditation. “If you bring forth what is within you, what you have will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not have within you will kill you." -Jesus, Verse 70, Gospel of Thomas Allow me to share my interpretation of this quote from Jesus. “what is within you” = your Authentic Self. “what you do not have within you” = inauthenticity. “kill you” = not literal, although possible, keep you from enjoying life to its fullest. Discontentment, frustration, unhappiness, regret,...
