“The self is not something ready-made, but something in continuous formation through choice of action.”
-John Dewey
It’ll require you to evolve from the person you once were to the person you were meant to be. And then with experiences, meeting new people, and listening to your curiosity, you will discover new possibilities that you never knew existed. It’s kind of like climbing to the top of a mountain, thinking you’ve conquered your greatest challenge, only to see a brand new landscape and world you couldn’t see before. With this new perspective, you see new possibilities and things to explore, so you keep pursuing. Continuing to evolve with your authentic Self should not be viewed as tedious or exhausting; don’t mistake evolution and growth for a lack of contentment. Your evolution should be exciting as you explore your interests, passions, and continue to live with purpose–your evolution is guided by your heart, not outside influences. As Dewey referred to it, your choice of action should be determined by you, communicated to you from the Divine through your heart and intuition. I don’t know about you, but I sit here enjoying the present version of myself and am also excited about who I will evolve into in the future. JC |
I'm on a mission to help more people find and live their authentic life. Check out my Daily Notes where I write a short note each day about the connection of spirit, mind, body and money on the Pursuit of your authentic life.

I didn’t know her very well, but every time we’d pass each other in the hallway, we’d say hello, ask how each other was doing, and then go on with our day. Each...
“Instructions for living a life. Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” - Mary Oliver “Tell about it.” I don’t think enough people share their stories, which are full of experiences, lessons, and insights that might benefit others. What if your experience, good or bad, could help someone else learn something important sooner than they would have without hearing from you? There are many ways to share your story--blog, audio, photography, music, or even just mentorship. It can be...
“Every moment is a new beginning.” - Elie Wiesel If there are things in your life that you are not aligned with your authentic Self, you have the ability to change them. As Wiesel shares with us, every moment is an opportunity to change the direction of your Pursuit. You can choose to use these new beginnings as an opportunity to move closer to your authentic life. Or, you can choose to use these new beginnings as an opportunity to keep heading down the same path you’re on and living a life...
