authenticity

I have noticed “authenticity” popping up all over the place lately—and it’s being used in a way that is aligned with the “Authentic Life.”

I’ve talked about how authenticity has become a buzzword and how I refuse to let it be hijacked and watered down by influences, inauthentic people, and disingenuous people who use it without any real substance. It was refreshing and exciting to hear people using it in a way that will hopefully encourage more people to pursue becoming their authentic Self.

The common message behind authenticity in the podcasts, videos, and articles I’ve seen lately is that authenticity, being true to your Self, is ultimately the answer to most of your problems. It sounds too straightforward and too idealistic, but if you can be your authentic Self, many of your problems will fade away—lack of confidence, self-love, and frustration of not being able to be true to your Self.

If we look at synonyms for authenticity, I think it’s importance and why it can help you improve your life becomes even clearer:

  • Genuine
  • True
  • Real
  • Honest
  • Original

Becoming more authentic is not always easy—in fact, it will probably be difficult for most.

But it is worth it.

And you are worth it.

Lean into a truer, more authentic version of your Self, and keep leaning in.

In a world where more and more people are pretending to be people they are not for clicks, views, and influence, authenticity will stand out and be attractive for those who have grown tired of the fake.

See you tomorrow and keep pursuing,

Yesterday I had multiple conversations with new friends in a community I am part of (shoutout to The Leading Edge), and a common theme came up in a couple of them… purpose. This morning, I woke up about 15 minutes earlier than my alarm was set for, and I had this flow of consciousness that revisited the conversations and added additional thoughts. I thought about going back to sleep and trying to remember the idea, but then I sat up, grabbed my phone, and opened up my notes app. Instead of...

“What does violently aligned look like for you?” A good friend of mine asked me this earlier this week in reference to a Daily Note from last month, "violently aligned." I first reminded him that there isn’t a “right” way to find personal alignment—what works for me won’t work for him or anyone else, but what I do might help give some direction on where to start. I believe “violently aligned” is found in the alignment of spirit, mind, body, and money, and as I wrote in the earlier Note, the...
